Leaders are the fulcrum of any organization - they set direction, support achievement, motivate teams, collaborate with partners, champion the cause and manage stakeholders. Our flagship leadership program Aritra which we run with IIM Bangalore and Dr. Reddy's Foundation embodies our commitment to leadership development in this sector.
Our suite of solutions span 360 feedback and psychometric assessments for senior leaders, followed by development action planning (for individual leaders or top teams) and supported by coaching and training. We also design bespoke leadership development solutions for Community Changemakers and train NGO field teams to implement these programs.
COMMUNITY CHANGEMAKER LEADERSHIP DEVELOPMENT
The community is at the core of all that we do in the development sector. We work with CSOs who aim to empower their target communities by designing focused leadership programs. Complete toolkits with material are handed over to the CSO staff through a rigorous Train the Traner process. Our bespoke designs have already worked to build the capacities of diverse audiences such as CBO leaders, adolescent girl icons and WASH community resource people.
We leverage 360 feedback (structured around Phicus' leadership framework) and psychometry to help key senior leaders take stock of themselves - their strengths, areas of opportunity, current role and future career aspirations. The composite Leader Map is used to co-create an individual development roadmap that supports personal and organizational growth.
This solution is applicable to individual leaders and top teams. For top teams, we deploy a 360 Team effectiveness questionnaire and the MBTI for Teams and create a Team Development Plan.
Post the Leader Map, a Phicus Senior Coach works one on one with the individual leader / with the entire top team to help them enhance their effectiveness. This typically constitutes a coaching dialogue once every 3 - 6 weeks, in person or via skype / telephonically, to help the individual / team make progress towards their development plan, trouble shoot, augment skills and provide ongoing feedback.
PHICUS' FLAGSHIP PROGRAM WITH IIM BANGALORE & DR. REDDY'S FOUNDATION
Aritra is a 12-month, part-time Leadership Accelerator program that aims to create a leadership pipeline of Senior leaders for India's Social Sector.
When The Gates Foundation in India was handing over reins of the Avahan Program to the Sex Worker Community Based Organizations (CBOs), they invited us to design and run a leadership program to help build the capability of these CBO leaders.
Phicus has worked with Milaan to help them redesign their flagship Girl Icon program.
