Director - Programs
Poulomi has 11+ years of experience in the development sector, particularly at the interface of gender, livelihoods and financial inclusion. She has worked on program designing and implementation fostering strategic partnerships with a diverse set of stakeholders across business and non-profits.
She was once an engineer. However scientific enquiry and curiosity is something she claims to be her natural traits. After a stint in software industry, she moved on to study communications management from MICA and then on to work in corporates. Soon she moved on to development sector by working in the capacity of leading and managing large scale CSR programs.
Complexity of issues and layered narratives had always attracted her. And hence she believes that having a political consciousness is unavoidable. She is a feminist and a bibliophile. She has been trying to explore new ways to engage and challenge "the culture of silence”.
Her current interest is trying to translate few of her favourite Bengali short stories into English.
She also likes collecting (hoarding) stationery especially notebooks!
