The Problem

Sex work today is increasingly isolated and phone-based. Many women have smartphones — but reading feels difficult or tiring, asking sensitive questions feels risky, help is not always available when needed, and privacy on shared phones is a constant concern.

Sweety Didi responds to this reality. A voice-first AI companion designed to support female sex workers with everyday decisions around health, money, safety, rights, and self-care — women can listen and speak, privately, discreetly, and without judgement. No typing. No screens. No judgement.

What You Can Ask Sweety Didi

  • Health — body care, illness, medicines, when to see a doctor

  • Money — saving, budgeting, banking, digital payments

  • Rights — basic legal awareness, police interactions, where to seek help

  • Safety — personal safety tips, emergency guidance, first responses

  • Self-Care — stress, rest, emotional wellbeing, feeling strong and calm

  • Emergency Help — one-tap access to important helplines and urgent help

What Makes Sweety Didi Different

  • Voice-first — no screens, no reading, no typing

  • Private and discreet — designed specifically for shared phones

  • Non-judgmental tone throughout

  • Works across literacy levels and Indian languages

  • Emergency help always visible

  • Built with verified content, bounded AI, and a safety-first architecture

Built Responsibly, Grounded in the Field

Sweety Didi was shaped through field testing with 75 women across Mumbai, Mysore, and Kolkata — focusing on privacy, comfort, and ease of use. Women told us: 'Listening feels easier than reading' and 'This feels safer on my phone.'

The Team Behind Sweety Didi

Sweety Didi is a Meri Shakti initiative — developed by Phicus Social Solutions in partnership with the All India Network of Sex Workers (AINSW), Ashodaya Samithi and partner CBOs, and Future Labs (AI and technology development).

Going Forward

Sweety Didi was featured at the Voice AI Conference, Delhi 2026 — and the response confirmed what field testing had already shown: this is a solution the community needs and trusts.

We are now actively fundraising to scale Sweety Didi to lakhs of female sex workers across India. The technology is built, the content is verified, the field testing is done, and the community partnerships are in place. What we need now is the funding to reach the women who need her most.

If you are a donor, foundation, or CSR partner who believes that dignity, safety, and access to knowledge are rights — not privileges — we would love to talk.
