This podcast organised by Rohini Nilekani Philanthropies, hosts the co-founders of Pratham - Dr. Madhav Chavan and Dr. Rukmini Banerji. This is the part 2 of the podcast, where they discuss on the role played by the community that helped the organisation to design their educational model.
While conversing, the co-founders share their insights on their ways of identifying and working on the problem. They stress on the importance of understanding the context - which in their case was the community, the children, the government schools; recognising and respecting the strengths and capabilities of the community, collecting data to have a solid evidence on the problem, trying and testing the solutions in the field and adopting changes to it by taking continuous feedback from the field. And this would ultimately help in scaling the program and in influencing the policy. Click here to listen to the Podcast
